(a) Authorization of appropriations
(2) Administrative costs There are authorized to be appropriated to the Secretary for administrative expenses of the program—
(b) Maintenance of funding The funding provided under this section shall supplement (and not supplant) other Federal funding provided under—

The Energy Policy and Conservation Act, referred to in subsec. (b)(1), is Pub. L. 94–163, , 89 Stat. 871. 2009—Subsec. (a)(1). Pub. L. 111–5 struck out “; provided that 49 percent of the appropriated funds shall be distributed using the definition of eligible unit of local government-alternative 1 in section 17151(3)(A) of this title and 49 percent of the appropriated funds shall be distributed using the definition of eligible unit of local government-alternative 2 in section 17151(3)(B) of this title” after “2012”.
