Occupations Code, Chapter 2302, provides that a person may not act as salvage vehicle agent, salvage vehicle dealer, or salvage vehicle rebuilder, including storing or displaying vehicles as an agent or escrow agent of an insurance company, unless the department issues that person a salvage vehicle dealer license or agent license. This subchapter describes procedures by which a person may obtain a license to act as a salvage vehicle dealer or salvage vehicle agent, conditions under which a licensee must operate the facility, and the procedures by which the department will administer this subchapter.
