1. (a) The department will make a decision on an application within 45 days of the date of receipt of the application. If the decision cannot be made within the 45 day period the department will notify the applicant of the delay providing the reason for the delay, and provide an estimate of when the decision will be made.
2. (b) If the application is approved, the department will issue a permit for the sign by sending a copy of the approved application and a sign permit plate to the applicant.
3. (c) If the application is not approved, the department will send a copy of the denied application and a notice that states the reason for the denial.
4. (d) If an application is denied, the department will notify the landowner identified on the permit application of the denial. The notice is for informational purposes only, and does not convey any rights to the landowner. The landowner may not appeal the denial unless the landowner is also the applicant.
