The appropriate district engineer or engineer-manager is authorized to furnish to the applicable county or city plats or field notes of right-of-way or land deemed necessary or convenient for any road or highway to be constructed, reconstructed, maintained, widened, straightened, or lengthened as a part of the state highway system. Said plats or field notes are prepared to accommodate the approved design of projects as authorized by the State Highway and Public Transportation Commission.
