- (a) Certification required. A person who is employed by a department district and prepares or reviews environmental studies or reports, environmental review documents or CE/BCE/PCE documentation must successfully complete a certification process under this section.
- (b) Certification program manager. The department's executive director will appoint a certification program manager to implement the requirements of this section on an agency-wide basis.
- (c) Timing. A person must successfully complete the certification process within one year after the date that the person begins employment in a district, except that if the person is employed by a district on April 16, 2012, the person must complete the certification process before April 16, 2013.
- (d) Recertification. To maintain certification under this section, a person must submit to the certification program manager before the second anniversary of the date that the person was certified, or most recently recertified under this section, documentation that the person has attended a minimum number of hours of continuing education related to the preparation and review of environmental studies and reports, environmental review documents, and CE/BCE/PCE documentation, within that two-year period. The certification program manager will set the minimum number of hours of continuing education required to be completed in each two-year period.
