Choices staff may authorize, arrange, or refer participants for the following educational activities if deemed necessary for finding employment:
- (1) secondary school leading to a high school diploma;
- (2) a course of study leading to a certificate of high school equivalency;
- (3) basic skills and literacy;
- (4) English proficiency; or
- (5) post-secondary vocational education, for up to 12 months, that prepares participants for employment in current and emerging occupations that do not require a baccalaureate or advanced degree. On an individual basis, completion of self-initiated education currently in progress at the associates, baccalaureate, or advanced degree level may be approved within the 12-month time frame.
