Billing and Payment for Foster Care Assistance

- (a) The child's countable income is deducted from the foster care assistance rate on a month-to-month basis.
- (b) The Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services (TDPRS) foster care billing staff use the Child and Adult Protective System to pay TDPRS foster homes and contracted facilities.
- (c) If a county pays for foster care for the care of a child who is ineligible for state-provided foster care assistance or if a child's funds are used, the rate must be the same rate as TDPRS pays for the same level of care.
