To become a certified and insured prescribed burn manager, an applicant must:
(1) demonstrate the following minimum level of experience:
- (A) a minimum of three years' experience of prescribed burning;
- (B) a minimum of thirty days' experience conducting prescribed burns; and
- (C) a minimum of five days' experience as the individual responsible for all aspects of the prescribed burn; or
- (2) submit documentation of achievement of NWCG Prescribed Burn Boss Type 2 (RXB2).
