- (a) Application. A certificate for movement of quarantined articles may be obtained from the department.
(b) Requirements. A certificate may be issued by an inspector if a quarantined article:
- (1) has been treated to eliminate infestation; or
- (2) the inspector has determined that such movement will not result in the spread or increased infestation of cotton pests.
- (c) Display. When a certificate is required it shall be securely fastened to the outside of the container in which the quarantined article is being moved. The attachment of the certificate to each container is not required, if the certificate is attached to the shipping document and the quarantined article is adequately described on the shipping document or on the certificate. Effective dates shall be shown on the certificate.
- (d) Cancellation. Any certificate issued may be withdrawn or canceled if an inspector determines the use of the issued certificate may result in the spread of the cotton pest(s).
