The Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education adopts by reference a memorandum of understanding which establishes the Commission's and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice's (TDCJ's) respective responsibilities in developing a basic training program in the use of firearms by community supervision officers, probation officers, and parole officers. Copies of the memorandum of understanding may be obtained from the Commission.
