1. (a) Training must be relevant to the knowledge and skills required in the performance of the officer's job duties to be considered for certification or continuing education credit.
2. (b) Training in the mandatory topics shall be conducted by training providers who have received specialized training in the curriculum from the Commission or from the employing department.
3. (c) The standardized curriculum provided by the Commission shall be used in the provision of training on the mandatory topics.
4. (d) The Commission reserves the right to refuse to approve or grant credit for training hours that do not comply with this standard.
