1. (a) Supplies. Recreational equipment and supplies shall be provided to the residents.

2. (b) The recreational schedule shall offer the following programming:

   1. (1) Large Muscle Exercise. At least one hour of large muscle exercise shall be scheduled each day.
   2. (2) Open Recreational Activity. At least one hour of open recreational activity shall be scheduled each day.

3. (c) Exceptions. A resident's recreational schedule may be altered under the following conditions:

   1. (1) participation by the resident is contra-indicated for medical reasons;
   2. (2) the resident is in disciplinary seclusion, room restriction, protective isolation, medical isolation, or assessment isolation;
   3. (3) the resident has a scheduled appointment;
   4. (4) extenuating circumstances exist that impede the recreational schedule; or
   5. (5) the resident presents an imminent danger to self or others. Utilization of this provision shall require the written approval of the facility administrator.
