- (a) Payment to the department of any fee required by this chapter or by the Act may be made only by cashier's check, money order, or by check issued by a federal, state, or local government agency, made payable to the Texas Department of Public Safety. In addition, the department will accept payment by approved credit cards for applications submitted online using the department website.
- (b) A fee received by the department under this chapter or the Act is nonrefundable.
