- (a) Service retirement benefits on service retirements, on which the first benefit is payable on or after October 1, 1985, shall be calculated on the basis of the UP-1984 table with an age setback of five years for retired members and an age setback of 10 years for beneficiaries of retired members, with a 30% reserve refund assumption for the standard benefit.
- (b) Disability retirement benefits on disability retirements, on which the first benefit is payable on or after January 1, 1992, shall be calculated with a 30% reserve refund assumption for the standard benefit, and on the basis of the UP-1984 table with an age setback of five years for disabled annuitants and an age setback of 10 years for beneficiaries of disabled annuitants.
- (c) The actuarial tables may be changed by the board on recommendations of the actuary to more nearly conform to the actual experience of the system with affected categories.
