- (a) If an application for benefits is approved in whole or in part without hearing, the director, by letter of notification, shall inform the applicant in writing of the action taken.
- (b) If the director determines that an application for benefits cannot be approved, he shall by letter of notification inform the applicant that the claim is denied, stating the reasons therefor.
