34 Tex. Admin. Code § 69.1 – Employees Covered by Teacher Retirement System

The following persons employed by state agencies and departments are members of the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS):

(1) a person who holds a coaching, teaching, or administrative position with an independent school district, the salary for which is paid with foundation school funds; and
(2) a person who elected to retain membership in TRS when the agency or department that employs the person transferred out of TRS.
