Pleadings filed with the executive director, or filed with the examiner as provided in §67.7(b) of this title (relating to Filing and Service of Documents and Pleadings), shall be notices, applications, appeals, claims, answers, exceptions, replies, motions, or briefs. Regardless of any error in the designation of a pleading, it shall be accorded its true status in the proceeding in which it is filed.
