(a) Property required to be reported by holders on November 1, 1985, pursuant to Senate Bill 906, §21(a), 69th Legislature, 1985 shall include property, as of June 30, 1985, that is:
- (1) abandoned longer than three years, if the property is tangible or intangible personal property or mineral interests;
- (2) inactive for longer than five years, if the property is an account or a safe deposit box;
- (3) abandoned for longer than five years, if the property is a money order or stock or another intangible ownership interest in a business association; or
- (4) abandoned for longer than 15 years, if the property is a traveler's check.
- (b) The property described in subsection (a) of this section must be reported regardless of whether the statute of limitations defense may be asserted by the holder.
