Accrued preference points will be reinstated in the concerned hunt category for a selected applicant only if:

1. (1) payment of hunt permit fees has been made, but the scheduled hunt is unable to be conducted in its entirety or is canceled at the discretion of the department;
2. (2) the selected applicant was assigned a hunt category, hunt area, or hunt period other than was indicated on the application and does not participate in the hunt.
