In accordance with the Texas Water Code, §15.471, grants may be made to districts for purchasing equipment required to:

1. (1) measure and evaluate irrigation systems and agricultural water conservation practices on irrigated land, dryland, and rangeland;
2. (2) demonstrate efficient irrigation systems and agricultural water conservation practices on irrigated land, dryland, and rangeland;
3. (3) measure, sample, test, and evaluate water quality and the suitability of water from groundwater or surface water resources for irrigation, rural domestic, livestock, or agricultural industry use; or
4. (4) demonstrate efficient or sound chemical application and evaluate or demonstrate systems which will prevent contamination of groundwater and surface water from chemicals and other substances used in agriculture.
