1. (a) Pathogen reduction. Sewage sludge (other than domestic septage). The Class A pathogen reduction requirements in §312.82(a) of this title (relating to Pathogen Reduction) or the Class B pathogen reduction requirements in §312.82(b)(1)(A) and (b)(2) of this title shall be met when sewage sludge is placed on an active sludge unit, unless the vector attraction reduction requirements in §312.83(b)(11) of this title (relating to Vector Attraction Reduction) is met.
2. (b) Pathogen reduction. Domestic septage. The pathogen reduction requirement in §312.82(c)(2) of this title shall be met when domestic septage is placed on an active sludge unit.
3. (c) Vector attraction reduction. Sewage sludge (other than domestic septage). One of the alternatives for vector attraction reduction in §312.83(b)(1)-(11) of this title shall be met when sewage sludge is placed on an active sludge unit.
4. (d) Vector attraction reduction. Domestic septage. The vector attraction reduction requirement in §312.83(b)(12) of this title shall be met when domestic septage is placed on an active sludge unit.
