All analyses to determine compliance shall be performed by an approved laboratory. Analyses shall be performed on treated water at all entry points to the distribution system except where otherwise stated.

1. (1) Inorganic chemicals. The maximum contaminant levels for inorganic contaminants listed below apply to community and non-transient, non-community water systems. The maximum contaminant levels for nitrate, nitrite, and total nitrate and nitrite also apply to transient non-community water systems.
