1. (a) If the impairments constitute emergency impairments as defined in NFPA 25 (1992), then the inspector shall complete and attach a red tag.
2. (b) Red tags shall be the same size as service tags.

3. (c) Red tags shall bear the following information in the format of the sample tag shown in subsection (f) of this section:

   1. (1) "DO NOT REMOVE BY ORDER OF THE STATE FIRE MARSHAL" (all capital letters, at least 10-point boldface type);
   2. (2) firm's name and address;
   3. (3) firm's certificate of registration number;
   4. (4) signature of service person;
   5. (5) day, month, and year (to be punched);
   6. (6) emergency impairments; and
   7. (7) name and address of owner or occupant.
4. (d) Tags may be printed and established for any five-year period. After each printing, one tag shall be forwarded to the state fire marshal.
5. (e) A red tag may be removed only by an authorized employee of a registered firm, an employee of the state fire marshal's office, or an authorized representative of a governmental agency with regulatory authority.
