1. (a) Each applicant for a license shall take and pass with at least 70% grade an examination covering this chapter and the Insurance Code, Article 5.43-3 and if applicable, a technical qualifying examination as specified in §34.713(b) of this title (relating to Applications). The content, frequency, and location of the examination shall be set by the state fire marshal's office.
2. (b) Examinees who fail must file a re-examination application accompanied by the required fee.
3. (c) A person whose license has been expired for two years or longer who makes application for a new license must take and pass another examination. No examination is required for a licensee whose license is renewed within two years of expiration.
4. (d) An examinee who is scheduled for an examination to be conducted on a religious holy day by the state fire marshal's office and who wishes to observe the religious holy day may request the rescheduling of the examination to an alternate date.
