The purpose of this subchapter is to administer through the state fire marshal the law set forth in the Insurance Code, Articles 5.43-1, 5.43-2, and 5.43-3, regarding approval of testing laboratories which perform standardized tests on fire protection equipment in the interest of safeguarding lives and property.
