The following minimum standards for benefits are prescribed for the categories noted in §§3.3071-3.3077 and 3.3079 of this title (relating to Minimum Standards and Benefits and Readability for Accident and Health Insurance Policies). No individual policy of accident and sickness insurance, or a subscriber contract of a hospital, medical, or dental services corporation, shall be delivered or issued for delivery in this state which does not meet the required minimum standards for the specified categories except as otherwise provided by law or these sections. Such policies must also meet the requirements of the Insurance Code, Article 3.42. Nothing in this section shall preclude the issuance of any policy or contract combining two or more of the categories of coverage as set forth in the Insurance Code, Article 3.70-1(F)(1)(a)-(h).
