1. (a) The purpose of this chapter is to implement the requirements of the Medical Liability and Insurance Improvement Act of Texas, Texas Civil Statutes, Article 4590i; Subchapter F, relating to informed consent.
2. (b) The treatments and procedures requiring full disclosure by a physician or health care provider to a patient or person authorized to consent for the patient are found in §601.2 of this title (relating to Procedures Requiring Full Disclosure--List A).
3. (c) The treatments and procedures requiring no disclosure by a physician or health care provider to a patient or person authorized to consent for the patient are found in §601.3 of this title (relating to Procedures Requiring No Disclosure--List B).
