The following persons subject to this chapter that act in compliance with this chapter are not civilly or criminally liable for furnishing the information required under this chapter: a hospital, clinical laboratory, or cancer treatment center; or an ambulatory surgical center, physician or other health care provider. Staff of the division that disclose confidential data in the course of their job duties are not civilly or criminally liable for furnishing the information required.
