The purpose of these sections is to describe the duties of the Midwifery Board and the Texas Department of Health (department); the requirements of midwives for annual documentation with the department's Midwifery Program; the present educational options; continuing education; mandatory education beginning in September 1993; the contents of an informed choice/disclosure statement form; and penalties.
