1. (a) The following section in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) is adopted by reference by the Texas Department of Health (department) as a recommended guideline for selection and use of face and eye protection in public schools: 29 CFR, Part 1910, Subpart I, §1910.133, titled "Eye and Face Protection," effective May 2, 1996, as amended.
2. (b) The following section in the CFR is adopted by reference by the department as a recommended guideline for hazard assessment and face and eye protective equipment selection in public schools: 29 CFR, Part 1910, Subpart I, Appendix B, titled, "Non-mandatory Compliance Guidelines for Hazard Assessment and Personal Protective Equipment Selection," effective April 6, 1994, as amended.
