- (a) A firearms program, if provided, shall be conducted on a range that meets or exceeds the specifications outlined by the National Rifle Association or its equivalent. Strict safety procedures shall be enforced whenever the range is in use. The rifle range shall be conspicuously marked and fenced to prevent campers from wandering onto the range while it is in use. When not in use, the range shall be off limits to all campers.
- (b) An archery program, if provided, shall be conducted on a range that meets or exceeds the specifications outlined by the National Field Archery Association or its equivalent. The archery range shall be conspicuously marked and fenced to prevent campers from wandering onto the range while it is in use. When not in use, the range shall be off limits to all campers.
- (c) All recreational activities shall be conducted under the direct supervision of a qualified adult supervisor.
- (d) Equipment used in all recreational programs shall be kept in good condition and present no hazard to the user at any time.
- (e) Firearms, ammunition, and archery equipment shall be kept in a locked room when not in use.
- (f) All tools, including power tools, used by campers shall be maintained in good repair, shall have the necessary safety guard attached, and shall be used only under qualified supervision at all times.
