1. (a) Chair and vice-chair.

   1. (1) The chair shall preside at all Board of Health (board) meetings, call special meetings of the board, and provide for timely notice of a special meeting to each member. Meetings are described further in §1.5 of this title (relating to Meetings of the Board of Health).
   2. (2) Duties of the vice-chair. The vice-chair shall perform the duties of the chair when the chair is absent or disabled. If the chair's position becomes vacant, the vice-chair shall serve in that position until the governor designates a new chair.

2. (b) Board of Health committees.

   1. (1) The board may establish standing and special committees consisting of board members to expedite the board's work. The committees will be working extensions of the board.
   2. (2) The chair may appoint board members to serve on any committee.
