The Standing Committees of the board are as follows:

1. (1) Disciplinary Committee:

   1. (A) reviews and makes recommendations to resolve complaints, close investigations, dismiss cases, and hears complainant appeals;
   2. (B) recommends, reviews, and develops improvements of the disciplinary process, rules, policies, and other related matters; and
   3. (C) receives reports on enforcement activities and statistical information.

2. (2) Licensure Committee:

   1. (A) reviews applications and makes recommendations, based on eligibility criteria for licensure of physician assistants;
   2. (B) recommends, reviews, and develops changes to the licensure process, rules, policies, and other related matters as necessary; and
   3. (C) maintains communication with Texas physician assistant programs.
