Pursuant to the Board's authority under Tex. Occ. Code §155.105 of the Medical Practice Act, this chapter is promulgated to:

1. (1) Provide criteria for the eligibility and discipline of physicians who apply for and are granted physician-in-training permits; and
2. (2) Set forth conduct that must be reported on all individuals who are in postgraduate training in order to protect public health and welfare.
