- (a) If a physician's annual registration permit has been expired for one year due to failure to submit an application for registration and annual registration fee, it is considered to have been canceled, unless an investigation is pending, and the physician may not obtain a new annual registration permit. The physician must apply for relicensure and may obtain a new license by submitting to reexamination and complying with the requirements and procedures for obtaining an original license.
- (b) A person may qualify for a new license without having to take the Texas jurisprudence examination if that person's license is considered canceled for less than two years.
