1. (a) Upon approval of an application by the executive director, the licensing and registration committee, or the board in a manner provided in this subchapter, the executive director shall:

   1. (1) issue a registration subject to the applicant's taking and passing the examination on the principles and practice of surveying according to §134.67 of this chapter (relating to Examination on the Principles and Practice of Surveying); or
   2. (2) issue a registration to an applicant who has passed the examination on the principles and practice of surveying.

2. (b) The board shall deny an application if any of the following occurs:

   1. (1) the application has been administratively withdrawn for a period of six months;
   2. (2) a majority of the full board voted to deny an application on the basis that the applicant does not meet the requirements of the Surveying Act and board rules; or
   3. (3) the applicant did not pass the examination on the principles and practice of surveying in the prescribed time.
3. (c) The board by vote shall confirm the action taken on a registration at its next regularly scheduled meeting.
4. (d) The executive director shall advise the applicant in writing of any decision of the executive director, the licensing and registration committee, or the board, as applicable.
