- (a) Each licensee shall promptly respond to Board inquiries concerning complaints of professional misconduct by the licensee. All Board inquiries will be sent "Certified Return Receipt Requested" and must be accepted by the doctor against whom the complaint is lodged or the doctor's designee. A duplicate copy of the complaint will be sent by the United States mail to the doctor's last known address, so doing raises a presumption of delivery.
- (b) Responses shall be in writing and shall be directed to the attention of the board's enforcement committee.
- (c) Failure to timely respond to a complaint shall be an independent ground for disciplinary proceedings.
