- (a) Authority for this chapter is provided in Subchapter D, §901.155 of the Act, which is titled Scholarship Trust Fund for Fifth-Year Accounting Students. This chapter establishes procedures to administer the fifth-year accounting students scholarship program.
- (b) The purpose of the fifth-year accounting students scholarship program is to provide financial assistance to students intending to take the written examination conducted for the purpose of granting a certificate of CPA and thus increase the number of highly trained and educated CPAs available to serve the residents of this state.
