- (a) An initial license is the first license issued to an individual who has been certified or registered under the Public Accountancy Act. The board will prorate the initial license fee for an individual who is licensed for less than a full year.
- (b) The board will not prorate the initial license fee for a firm's practice unit whose license is less than one year. The firm's practice unit license shall not be issued until such time as the sole proprietorship, all partners, officers, directors, members, or shareholders of the firm who reside in Texas have obtained a license.
