When signing prescription drug orders at an alternate site, the advanced practice registered nurse shall:

1. (1) maintain Protocols or other written authorization that must be reviewed and signed by both the advanced practice registered nurse and the delegating physician at least annually;
2. (2) be available on-site with the physician at least 10 percent of the hours of operation of the site each month that the advanced practice registered nurse is acting with delegated prescriptive authority; and
3. (3) have access to the delegating physician through direct telecommunication for consultation, patient referral, or assistance with a medical emergency.
