1. (a) "Class of certificates" means a certificate with the following characteristics:

   1. (1) specific job duties or functions associated with the certificate;
   2. (2) standards established by the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) for the issuance of the certificate; and
   3. (3) comprehensive examination(s) prescribed by the SBEC, as specified in §230.21 of this title (relating to Educator Assessment).

2. (b) Classes of certificates include the following:

   1. (1) superintendent;
   2. (2) principal;
   3. (3) classroom teacher (categories of classroom teaching certificates are described in Chapter 233 of this title (relating to Categories of Classroom Teaching Certificates));
   4. (4) reading specialist;
   5. (5) legacy master teacher;
   6. (6) school librarian;
   7. (7) school counselor; and
   8. (8) educational diagnostician.
