Participation of English Proficient Students

- (a) School districts shall fulfill their obligation to provide required bilingual program services to English learners in accordance with Texas Education Code (TEC), §29.053.
- (b) School districts may enroll English proficient students in the bilingual education program or the English as a second language program in accordance with TEC, §29.058.
- (c) The number of participating English proficient students shall not exceed 40% of the number of students enrolled in the program district-wide in accordance with TEC, §29.058.
