A school district may use federal career and technology education funds to provide opportunities for student participation in approved student leadership organizations and assist vocational student organizations in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations. The following provisions apply to career and technology education student organizations.

1. (1) A student shall not be required to join such an organization.
2. (2) Student participation in vocational student organizations shall be governed in accordance with Chapter 76 of this title (relating to Extracurricular Activities).
