- (a) The Commissioner shall determine annually the maximum loan repayment assistance amount offered under this subchapter, taking into consideration the amount of available funding, the expected number of eligible applicants, and the average loan balances of program participants.
- (b) In a given year, a participant in the program may not receive loan repayment assistance greater than one-fifth of the participant's eligible loan balance as was demonstrated when the participant was first approved for assistance under this subchapter.
