Applicant Eligibility

To be eligible for loan repayment assistance, an applicant must:
- (1) submit a completed application to the Coordinating Board by the stated deadline; and
(2) be one of the following:
- (A) a certified educator in a shortage teaching field teaching full-time in that field at the time of the application, and having taught in that field full-time for one service period in the current academic year in a Texas public school; or
- (B) a certified educator teaching full-time in a public school in a shortage community at the time of the application, and having taught in that community full-time for one service period in the current academic year.
