The Board, in consultation with institutions of higher education, shall develop space planning models to estimate the NASF of E&G space need at public lower-division institutions and technical colleges, general academic institutions, health-related institutions, and Texas A&M University System service agencies.

1. (1) Use. The Board shall use the models developed under this section to determine the need for space on campuses and as a component of funding formulas for institutions other than community colleges.
2. (2) Periodic Review. Each biennium, the Commissioner may convene an advisory committee of institutional representatives to review the model and recommend changes.
