- (a) This subchapter shall govern instances in which individuals request correction of incorrect information, for which the agency is responsible, pertaining to the individual or an infant individual for whom he or she is a legal guardian. This subchapter should not be read to contradict §1.10 of this title (relating to the Texas Public Information Act), the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), or any other applicable state or federal law.
- (b) The purpose of this subchapter is to implement Texas Government Code, Chapter 559.004, concerning individuals' Right to Correction of Incorrect Information.
