1. (a) When corrective actions to achieve compliance are required:

   1. (1) the department may provide the licensee a list of recommendations for corrective actions; and

   2. (2) the licensee shall complete all corrective actions and provide written verification of the corrective actions to the department according to the following schedule:

      1. (A) violations affecting an animal's health shall be corrected immediately; or
      2. (B) after consultation with the licensee or representative, violations related to housing facilities must be corrected within a reasonable time as determined by the inspector based on a totality of the circumstances.
   3. (3) The department may grant an extension, consistent with established procedures, if satisfactory evidence is presented showing that the time period specified is inadequate to perform the necessary corrections.
2. (b) The department may assess administrative penalties and/or administrative sanctions for violations or for failure to timely complete corrective actions or timely provide written verification of the completion of corrections to the department.
3. (c) Licensees are not obligated to perform the corrective actions recommended by the department and may choose alternative corrective actions to achieve compliance.
