1. (a) To obtain a technician registration, an applicant must:

   1. (1) submit a completed application on a department-approved form; and
   2. (2) submit the required fee.
2. (b) The term of an air conditioning and refrigeration technician's registration is one year.
3. (c) A registration is not transferable.

4. (d) An applicant for registration as an air conditioning and refrigeration technician will be issued a temporary registration that is valid for 21 days if the applicant:

   1. (1) has not been convicted of a criminal offense, or been placed on deferred adjudication; and
   2. (2) pays the required fee.
