1. (a) Inspector registration fees:

   1. (1) original--$15; and
   2. (2) renewal--$15.

2. (b) Certificate of compliance filing fees:

   1. (1) within 60 days of inspection date--$20;
   2. (2) $5.00 per elevator, escalator or related equipment; and
   3. (3) $120 if the inspection report is filed after the 60th day.

3. (c) Inspector's equipment:

   1. (1) $160 for a kit of 100 test tags, wire rope and lead seals; and
   2. (2) $90 for seal crimping tool.
4. (d) Waiver/delay application fee. A $100 fee shall be charged for applying for a waiver or delay.
5. (e) A fee may not be charged or collected by the department for a certificate of compliance for an institution of higher education as defined in the Education Code, §61.003. The fees charged by the QEI-1 inspector or inspection agency for performing the inspection shall be paid by the institution of higher education.
